To those of you who are at all concerned (most likely limited to my parents), we are alive here in Clayton, North Carolina, and here is a brief update:
1. We moved yesterday, and the house is coming together slowly but surely. We moved in record time thanks to the amazing help we received, and I couldn’t be happier with our new abode.

2. I have already given myself a second degree burn on my finger while trying to figure out our fancy new oven. For some ridiculously dumb reason, I decided to feel around to see what caused the warming tray to get warm.. and let me just tell you, it warmed the skin right on off of my pointer finger. I promise I really did graduate with a master’s degree…

3. Carson ate dog food today. Yep, that’s right. Call us negligent parents, but the kid is FAST! And let it be said- it is not easy to extract a piece of dog food from the mouth of a fiesty little boy with 6ish teeth. Suffice it to say, we have since relocated Chloe’s food bowl.

4. Aside from dog food, Carson has a couple of other recent favorite foods. Beans, cheese, and barbecue top the list. He is definitely Matt’s son.

5. I am starting to get nervous about the election on Tuesday. Like really nervous. I’m actually glad that we don’t have cable hooked up yet, as I think watching the crazy liberal media slant on the election was causing me to sin. 🙂

That’s all. My back and my charred finger hurt, but another unopened box is coaxing me out of this comfy seat.

I. am. never. moving. again.
