Weird: I don’t know what has gotten into my husband, but he– my non-cooking husband– is in the kitchen chopping up veggies and cilantro and is making himself homemade salsa. Either he has been watching too much Rachael Ray or he is really getting into this Mr. Mom thing in a big way.
Typical: As I was examining his newborn today, I had a father inform me that I look younger than his fifteen year old daughter. As if that was news to me…
Yummy: In my efforts to cook more meatless meals and try new recipes (my poor husband), I tried my hand at making falafels this week. Matt requested the leftovers for his lunch, and even I was impressed at how tasty they were.
Smart: John McCain’s choice to name Sarah Palin as his running mate.
Encouraging: So far, I love my job. I love the schedule I have there. I love the people I am caring for. I even love finishing up my 30 minute commute there by driving through cute little Downtown Smithfield.
