Well, you wanted it, you got it. A guest blog, from Catherine’s delightful husband, who as you’ll find out is unfortunately not quite the Shakespearean genius that his wife is. Speaking of the lovely Catherine, pregnancy does WEIRD things to her.

Don’t get me wrong, I have heard all the stories. Nausea. Vomit. Tiredness. Cravings (definitely went to KFC last night for a fresh made never stale biscuit?!?). Insomnia. Overheating. I have heard all the stories. See this is the thing though, it was definitely not like this the last time. Maybe Carson really is an angel, either that or Gargini (second paragraph from bottom) really is a little trouble maker. This pregnancy has been different (see list above), and oh yeah, there’s also that child birth part that is crazy fun.

Well, because of the aforementioned reasons, coupled with my never ending, sacrificial love that always puts Catherine first, I think it’s V time. That’s right, it’s time for Snip City 2009.

I would make this sacrifice, the ultimate sacrifice, for the one I love. I’m not going to lie, I’m scared babe, but you know I would do anything for you. Anything to prevent you from feeling the way you do now. Even if it takes me being out of commission for a few days. I would sacrifice myself, I would endure immense suffering, I would lay on the couch in pain for hours all for you.

Snip, snip. All for you. The ultimate sacrifice.

Oh, and quick question: do you think this would count as an excused absence from class on Thursday?

Don’t forget, it’s hip to snip.

  1. I must say, Matt, I truly love your twisted humor. Of course anyone who fathers a child like Carson can never be allowed the big V. May you produce many, many more.

  2. yes… go duke!

And of course there are no words for that kind of undying, never-ending sacrificial love. 🙂

  3. oh of course not. I should also mention that I thought this was going to be a post about Dick Vitale given the title and time of year…maybe a follow up post, Matt?
