meeting our girl

So, for those of you who don’t know, Matt and I are back in the States after a week in DRC that encompassed the entire range of human emotions- from the utter elation and joy in meeting our daughter to the heartbreak of having to say “goodbye for now” as we unexpectedly had to hand her back over to her foster family for the time being.  We (and a couple other families) hit a few snags with the US Embassy (I’m biting my tongue and am not gonna go there via this forum…) which forced us to return home without our sweet girl until they get worked out.  We’re praying and trusting that it will all get worked out quickly and that I will be able to return very, very soon to bring Elizabeth home.  But for now, pictures.  Because, my word, isn’t she amazing??
